Scenarios:

My grand plan...I have enough Extra Care bucks to buy everything in one transaction. I am going to break the transactions down into 2 due to the unknown prices of the neutrogena cosmetics and how many packs of Bic Pens there are. I am breaking them into 2 transactions because I will know exactly how much the first one is and the second one will be totally free no matter what I buy (so my numbers won't be off).

Transaction #1

2 Caliber Comp Books @ .99 each
2 Caliber Pencil Boxes @ .99 each
1 Colgate Toothpaste @ $2.88
2 CVS Erasers @ .99 each
2 Pilot Easy Touch Pen Packs @ .99 each
1 CVS Tampons @ $1.89
2 Swingline Staplers @ .99 each
2 Arm & Hammer Detergents @ $6.99

Total: $21.66

Coupons I am using:
-$4/$20 email coupon
-$1 Colgate
-$1 Arm & Hammer
-$1 Arm & Hammer

Total After Coupons (pre-tax): $14.66

ECB's I am using from prior weeks: $10 ECB from 2 Bayer Meters & $4 ECB from 2 filler papers last week.

Total OOP: .66 plus tax (should be $1.68 with tax based on $14.66 sub-total)

ECB's Earned from transaction: $15.79
$1.98 (Composition Books),
$1.98 (Erasers),
$1.98 (Pilot Pens),
$1.98 (Staplers),
$1.98(Pencil Boxes),
$2 (Colgate),
$1.89 (Tampons),
$2 (Arm & Hammer)

Transaction #2

This transaction is going to consist of Neutogena Cosmetics and the Bic Pens that are free after coupons with the BOGO sales.

Whatever I end up with I will get for free with the coupons.

I won't have to pay taxes on the items since the coupons are for more than the products.

If you missed my article explaining why I won't have to pay taxes on my second transaction, along with other detail information on adjusting ECB's, be sure to read it here!

Hi JAM,

If you purchase the detergent by itself it would be $3 each. I am getting it free by working it into my scenario.

Since I have one of the $4/$20 coupons and am getting overage from the colgate this makes the detergent free (or technically $1.68 for it and the rest of the transaction) after I use prior Extra Care Bucks and get back ECB's from the items I purchase I make back what I spent.

After all is said and done I Spend $14 in ECB's plus $1.68 in cash an receive $15.79 back in ECB's for a profit of .11.

I hope this helps! This is how I get free detergent from CVS all of the time (when they run great sales like BOGO sales or ones with ECB's on them. I roll them into my deals and use $/$$ coupons to try and make up the difference.

Let me know if you have any more questions! I will glady try to help!

Lissa
