Kroger Deals For 7/28

Well...here we go! Kroger has awesome deals continuing this week along with last weeks buy 10 items and get $5 off your order instantly! Here is what I did today! You can do a total of 3 deals per transaction and I definately plan on going back tomorrow to get more items!

I bought...
#1
10 Skintimate Shaving Gels for 1 transaction. They were $2 each which equaled to $20. Subtract the instant $5 for buying 10 and you are down to $15. Take another $10 off by using the $1/1 coupon from the Publix Summer Savings Booklet Manufacturer coupon. Total for all 10 Gels? $5 or 50 cents each

#2
3 Softsoap and 7 Lady Speedstick deodorants. Used 35 cent coupons on Softsoap and $1/1 Coupons on Speedstick from 7/26 paper

#3
7 Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaners with 50 cent coupons doubled and 3 Lysol Trigger All-Purpose Cleaners with 50 cent coupons doubled

Additional Items...
6 Clearasil Products Price at $2.50 each. Used 6 $2/1 coupons making them 50 cents each
5 Revlon Slant Tweezers at $1.22 each. Used 5 $1/1 coupons making them 22 cents each (Revlon is 50% off right now)

Total Retail Price for order was $116.32
Total After Sales and Coupons was $24.02 a total Savings of 82%!!!

I noticed that the cashier had skipped some coupons at the end and ended up going to the customer support desk. The guy there said that it may take a while for them to figure out which coupons weren't used because I had so many. I asked if he could give me a minute and I could figure out which ones weren't scanned and he was amazed at the fact that within 2 minutes I figured out which ones didn't get used! Hint: I knew exactly what I walked in the store with and was able to match them up based on the amount of items I had purchased! I ended up getting $2.10 back (I don't know where the 10 cents came from? I am assuming tax!) So technically I got all of this for $21.92 instead of the $24.02. I always shoot for anything over 70% but will take 80% or more any day!

I hope this inspires someone today to head on over to Kroger for some really GREAT deals!

I had the exact same thing happen to me at Kroger last week, except I didn't catch it until I was home 20 miles away. I thought I was doing well by checking my receipt in the car to make sure sale items rang up at the right price; it didn't even occur to me to check the coupons until I was showing something on the receipt to my husband that night. They shorted me $6 of a $60 purchase!

Fortunately, Kroger is on his way home from work, so he went the next day. However, I was quite miffed to hear that the manager told him, "We'll credit you this once, but in the future, you need to watch the cashier to make sure they don't miss anything." Um, they should have their cashiers trained properly so that I shouldn't have to worry about supervising them myself.

Sorry for the little rant, LOL. I just found it funny that it happened to both of us!
