I thought that this was an interesting site when I ran across it! The DealBeacon is set up to list items that go on clearance at Target. This tool would go great hand-in-hand with AttentionTargetShoppers!
I was in Target on September the 5th (when DealBeacon said that they marked down their 08' College items to 50% off) and they WERE in the process of marking it all down that day!
So according to the "clearance mark down schedule", these items should go down to 75% off on the 19th! I'll stop in today and see what I can find! I will let you guys know if this is true for our local store!
I am actually pretty excited about stumbling across this information! This is very good to have for us bargain hunters! Especially with Christmas right around the corner!
Here is what they say the Clearance schedule is according to the site!
The Target schedule is that they are marked at 15% off, then 30%, then 50%, then 75%. Once they are on their mark down schedule, they mark down again every 2 weeks.
- Monday - Electronics, Kids Clothing and Stationary, Cards, Gift Wrap, etc.
- Tuesday- Domestics, Women's Clothing, Pets and food items
- Wednesday- Men's Clothing, Toys, Health and Beauty, Lawn & Garden items
- Thursday- House Wares, Lingerie, Shoes, Sporting Goods, Movies, Music, Books, Decor and Luggage
- Friday- Auto, Cosmetics, Hardware, & Jewelry
That is to say that not ALL Target stores follow this mark down schedule.

75% off some on day 3, most on day 4-6, post holiday
90% off on day 6 or 7 after holiday for 2 days.
Other than Christmas this is the schedule used for holiday clearance, including Valentine's Day, Global Bazaar, Easter, 4th of July, and Halloween.
I have found that most clearance items can be found on the end caps of some merchandise aisles. Some clearance items can be found on the far walls of the store. Some clearance items are hidden within merchandise shelves.
