The tea wasn't on sale in the store today and I can't find it in the ad?

New to the coupon saving arena. What are the abbreviations? I saw on another site FL (Food Lion), but what is SS? Is there a key of all the stores. One last question, if there are coupons from another store but that store is not in my living area, can I still use the coupon at my store? Hope these are not too confusing. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the heads up on the Ingels ad this week. I haven't had the brain power to do anything with it, and I am headed there now! lol. Thanks Again!

Hey Lissa,

I was just curious if your Ingles reduces the value of a coupon? I tried to buy the razors that were on sale for .99 cents, and the cashier wouldn't take my $2 coupon because it exceded the value of the product.

Simple,
I have a great list of abbreviations and their meanings under my FAQ link in the menubar at the top of the page. SS means SmartSource (coupon insert from newspaper). If you have any more questions please let me know! I hope this helps!

Trish,
You're welcome...I'm glad my list was helpful (that's why I love writing things on this blog~to help everyone out!)

I have had the Ingles in my area reduce coupons before but it is really up to the store managers. Don't leave it up to the cashier to make the decision! One of the key things that I do when I go shopping is ask the store manager before I shop (at the customer service desk) if I can either use the coupon or, in your case, they will adjust it!

Most grocery stores do not have a training class set up specifically for the use of coupons. They are trained on the use of the cash registers only. Time and time again I run into stores that 10 different employees have their conception of the stores coupon policies, therefore creating 10 different policies within that one company!

It can be frustrating at times but like I said...go to the store manager and ask any questions that you have (even scenario questions on a possible situation like the one you had). Then, the next time a cashier tells you otherwise you can ask for the manager, knowing that you are in the right!

Always be well educated on the store policies...it will help you out a lot! This is one of the main reasons why people quit using coupons...discouragement.

What you experienced has happened to me over and over...the key is to just keep going!

Thanks for writing and I hope to hear from you again!

What about the Celestial Seasonings Tea? Where did you see that it was on sale?

Lissa said...

I will have to check on that for you. I actually think that it was a sale from last week and I mistakenly put it on this weeks ad...I am not at home right now but when I get back I will pull up my paperwork from to see where it came from!

Thanks for asking
