Ingles Triples Coupon List w/ scenario at the bottom!

Ingles is tripling coupons this week!

For the week of 7/19 - 7/25

Please read the following information before attempting to shop this sale! Some of you may already know this but for others it is imperative that you know how the system works!

Remember: You can only triple 3 coupons for every $10 you spend (pre-coupon & pre-tax dollar amount AKA: Sub-Total). 6 for every $20 etc. This makes taking advantage of great sales prices with coupons a little bit trickier than any other grocery store! If you only want to buy 2 items with a coupon that will triple YOU CAN without a dollar amount limit. I have asked if you could do back to back transactions like this and the answer is NO.

The best advice that I can give you is to look at the matchups and figure out which items you would like to buy. Once you make a list add up the sale price (before coupons) to get a total. Once you get your total then you will be able to figure out how many of that item you can purchase. If you think that you can just go in to get the freebies you WILL NOT be able too! (I know...I wish I could too!) You total will not be high enough to triple the coupons.

Notice: I did not post any of the matchups for coupons that were .50 or less off of 2 products. Each time that I have tried to use them they would not allow them to triple. I have gotten a variety of stories as to why they won't do it but in my experience they just won't do it! I have had them manually adjust a regular .50/1 but they wouldn't do a .50/2??? It's one of the 7 wonders of the world and something that is just not worth the hassle. I am not very fond of Ingles and don't shop there often. I may do a couple of the deals below but that's it! I refuse to buy anything from them that I don't have a coupon for to support the store! Occasionally I run in for a really good deal! I have my reasons!

Remember: When Ingles triples coupons they actually manually input each coupon. YOU will not receive triple coupons if you go through the self-checkout! YOU MUST go through a line with a cashier. If you have a lot of coupons IT WILL take a long time to check out!

I don't want this information to be confusing. For those that do not shop at Ingles often it can be a task to do so. If you have any questions please leave a comment and other readers and I will try to answer your questions as soon as we see them!

Tip: Tyson Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts are $1.99/lb this week. If you use the $1/1 coupon from the 6/29 & 7/21 SS insert you can stock up on chicken creating your price base for tripling coupons. *Look for smallest packages!

I didn't want to repeat a lot of deals that Jenny over at SoutherSavers has so be sure to check out her post here!

Between the 2 of us you should have a pretty good list!

Here is an example of what I may buy to show you how I come up with the deals!

I love freebies so let's say I buy these 9 items to get them free with triples...

2 French's Yellow Mustard: $3 ($1.50 each)
2 French's Honey Mustard: $2.96 ($1.48 each)
2 Daisy Sour Cream: $2 ($1 each)
2 Wacky Mac Pastas: $2.96 ($1.48 each)
1 Mt. Olive Pickle Relish: $1.49

My subtotal is $12.41. In order to triple these coupons (9 total) I need to purchase a subtotal of $30. So I need to find $17.59 worth of items to bring my total up to $30.

At this point I look at the deals (with coupons over .50 or anything else) to see what I can find for the $17.59. I like to keep it as cheap as I can so I am going to find products that are at least 60% or more off!

An obvious is going to be the FREE cans of Mighty Dog to use as filler items.

8 Mighty Dog: $4.56 (.57 each)
4 L.A. Styling Gels: $6 ($1.50 each)
2 Pounce Cat Treats: $2 ($1 each)

My subtotal is now $30.15

Here are the coupons...
8 FREE Mighty Dog: -$4.56
4 $1/1 L.A.: -$4.00
1 $1.50/2 Pounce: -$1.50
4 .50/1 French's: -$6.00 (tripled)
2 .50/1 Daisy: -$3.00 (tripled)
2 .50/1 WackyMac: -$3.00 (tripled)
1 .50/1 Mt. Olive: -$1.50 (tripled)

Total OOP: $6.59 plus tax

(Please Note: that the Daisy, WackyMac & Mt. Olive coupons are calculated into this deal with overage. Your store may or may not do this. They may adjust the coupon down (on the triple not to exceed the purchase price) or they may reject it all together. YMMV)

If you have any questions or see any deals that Jenny and I may have missed please let us know! Leave a comment and share the knowledge!

You know I am with you 100% about the problems with Ingles. I only give them my money for great deals too. Hopefully we'll be able to do the triples without too much HASSLE!

Thanks for this list! I have gotten so frustrated with Ingles that I don't even shop there anymore, so I didn't even realize they were tripling this week! The $1.99 chicken and $1 potatoes are good enough sales though that I'm sure I'll go at least for that, so I'll be sure to triple some coupons while I'm there! Plus, I'll post a link to your post on my blog!

Thank you so much for this! I'm more of a Publix girl, but I am thrilled at the prospect of triples in Atlanta!

I'm sorry y'all have such a hard time at Ingle's, but I just had to comment on the other side. I love my Ingle's! It's the only local store I will shop at (I go to Aldi a couple of towns over). The employees are always super friendly and I've never had an issue with coupons there. I tripled 18 of them today!

Wanted to let everyone know that the Ingles in Spartanburg SC won't take internet coupons. They say it is due to fraud. I have seven children and told the manager that he would be losing my busines because of this as I need to use the coupons to keep my grocery bill under $200 each week. Yeah, they didn't even seem to care about losing almost $800 a month. I would think they'd lose a lot less than that with fraudulent coupons!

I have a question - many of my coupons now say "not subject to doubling". Many of these are the coupons you listed. I took them to Ingles anyway (I wanted the items with or without the tripling)and they took them but am I doing something wrong?

I just wanted to give a redeeming comment for Ingles (Stallins Rd, Taylors). I just went with piles of coupons and saved $60 (spent $50)! I didn't have a bit of trouble with any of them, my cashier was very competent and friendly, and she never even counted my coupons(although I did and I was within the limits -- tripled 22!)
