Neilsen has opened up the opportunity for you to join their consumer panel.
If qualify (are in an area that they are looking for new participants) you will receive a hand scanner. When you make your normal purchases you will just simply scan the barcodes of the products you buy each week and submit the data to Neilsen. They use the information on the products that you buy to send out to companies for marketing data. (Your personal information is not shared with the companies...just the items that you buy!)
Neilsen, in return, allows you to earn points that you can redeem in their gift catalog! These items include...electronics equipment, household items, jewelry, and toys just to name a few!
