Piggly Wiggly Store Information

Piggly Wiggly will be yet another store that I will have access to in my new town. They will probably be the underdog (compared to the other grocery stores) but I am sure that they will have some great sales to offer!

Their website isn't too informative. They have tons of recipes, free printables for the kids, the ability to make and print a shopping list (general). I was disappointed that they didn't even have their weekly sales ad online...but I have an answer for that!

Looks like I am going to have to rely on my good ole' online resources for this store!

The link takes you straight to the corresponding forum.

If you have any tips or information to share about your local Piggly Wiggly (and the deals you may or may not get there) please be sure to leave us a comment and let us know what you think!

I know that I will not be doing matchups on this store. However, if you have a blog that does the weekly coupon matchups let me know (savingyourcents @ gmail dot com) I would love to include you as a contributor (with a link-up) on this site and Saving Your Cents sister site (coming soon!)

I will do some more research on coupon policies when I get into the store! Be sure to check back for the update!

We used to have P-W in our town-alot of years ago-and I really liked to shop there so hopefully it hasn't changed.

Tonya...you are awesome! I haven't had a chance to do any more research on the circular and you probably just saved me about 10 minutes worth of work by sending me the link! Thanks a million!

Lana,
I remember shoppping at Piggly Wiggly with my mom as a youngster (way before the coupon concept). I don't know anyone personally who shops there but I'm sure they will have a few good deals each week!

We have Piggly Wiggly and it is actually the closest grocery store to our house, but we are Publix addicts. Out Piggly Wiggly is nice and the employees are friendly, but it is a small store; therefore, it does not have a lot of variety of products. I have not tried to do coupon match ups with them--we do Publix and occasionaly Bilo since they often have good deals and are near the library that we go to anyway. And of course there is CVS, WAGS, and Target so that is all I have time for! I do run in when I am out of something or need something last minute, but now that I have been stockpiling, that doesn't happen as often as it used to :-)

They do have Greenbax that you earn and you can use the Greenbax to get free items, free gas (if you have a Piggly Wiggly with gas), or even free or dicounted tickets around town. Since this is not where we do our primary grocery shopping, we end up getting a free gallon of gas once in a blue moon or once I think I got free eggs (1 dozen). So, the Greenbax thing may be something to look into and figuring out how to earn a lot of those!

PS--If anyone has ever seen the movie "Sweet Home Alabama," Reece Witherspoon's character refers to the Piggly Wiggly. My friend from NY came to visit me a few summers ago and cracked up laughing when we drove past a Piggly Wiggly because she didn't realize that it was really a real store--she thought they just made up the name for the movie, since it is kind of a funny name. Around here, most people call it "The Pig."

Leah,

We don't have a Piggly Wiggly in Cartersville.I will be moving and my new city will have one. Once I am there I will be adding it to my list of stores on Saving Your Cents. Sorry for the confusion!
