Scenario:
Buy...
1 Label Maker @ $14.99 after instant savings
1 Pencil Sharpener @ $10 after instant savings
1 3pk dry erase markers @ $3.99
2 Staples Multipurpose Paper @ $4.99 each after instant savings
1 Staples Brights Paper @ $10.99
5 Spiral Notebooks @ $.01 each

Total: $50.00

-$5 in-ad coupon (you can print this from the website here!)

= $45.00 plus tax that you will pay out-of-pocket!

Rebates Earned:

$15.00 from label maker
$10.00 from pencil sharpener
$3.99 from dry erase markers
$3.99 from paper *corrected price (from $5.99 error)
$3.99 from paper *corrected price (from $5.99 error)
$5.99 from paper

Total Rebates Earned: $42.96

You will pay $2.04 plus tax for the entire purchase after rebates! Less than the cost of one paper at regular price!

Tip: If your Staples accepts Office Depot as a competitor then you will definitely want to check out Michelle's post here with her scenario using the $10/$50 Office Depot Coupon! You could use the same scenario above to make money at the end. You would profit $2.96 (this would probably take care of tax to zero you out!)

Note: Keep in mind that these rebates take 6 - 8 weeks to arrive after you submit them online!

Actually two of the paper rebates will be 3.99 not 5.99. So you would get back $42.96 in rebates. Still a great deal for all of that!

Yeah...oops! I corrected it! The total is $4.05 plus tax...and yes that is still a good price!

I'm using the excuse that I am soooo ready for the weekend!

Thanks again for letting me know!

I get $49.95 for the total - will that work since usually the pre-tax total is what the coupon is deducted from? If so, a purchase of 5 $0.01 Spiral Notebooks would fix it...

Apparently I did the ad so quickly that I messed the math all up. Thanks for letting me know. I will fix it soon!
