Free Reynolds Foil At Walgreens

Walgreens has an in-ad coupon for Reynolds 20 sq ft Foil. The coupon makes the foil $.89 each. If you happened to find the Reynolds coupon booklets (in Food Lion for me but reporting other grocery stores also) back over the summer for $1/1 (excluding 25sq ft only) you can get these free plus $.11 in overage for each one. These coupons expire on 12/31/09. (The coupon book comes with other coupons for parchment paper, the seal vacuum, and foil cupcake holders.)

The coupon has a limit of 3 and I had multiple manufacturer coupons so I had to break up my transactions into a total of 5 to purchase 13 boxes of foil. I had initially only planned to make 1 transaction but the cashier saw that I had multiple coupons and told me that I could use all of them as long as we did them in separate transactions (to stay within the limit of 3 per coupon). The shelves were stocked with at least 40 boxes so I felt comfortable with taking 13 of them.

I had my younger brother with me. I am teaching him and his fiance how to shop with coupons! It is so much easier to show someone how to play the drugstore games (the order of the coupons etc.) when they are with you!

I had to find fillers to make up for the overage that the coupons were giving me...here is how I did it!

Transaction #1 & #2
3 Reynolds Foil @ $.89 each
1 Nerds Gumball @ $.34
Used 3 - $1/1 coupons & the $.89 in-store coupon
Total: $.21 for each transaction

Transaction #3 & #4
3 Reynolds Foil @ $.89 each
3 Halloween Pencils @ $.12 each
Used 3 - $1/1 coupons, the $.89 Reynolds coupon & the 8 for $1 Halloween pencil coupon (page 9)
Total: $.27 for each transaction

Transaction #5
1 Reynolds Foil @ $.89
1 Halloween Pencil @ $.12
Used 1 $1/1 coupon, the $.89 Reynolds coupon, & the 8 for $1 pencil coupon
Total: $.09

My total for all 5 transactions was $1.05!
