I signed up for the Kmart Rewards Program back in July of 09'. Each time that I shopped at Kmart I scanned my card (You can see various reasons why you want to shop at Kmart here and here!) knowing at some point I would receive a reward in the mail.
I knew that I would earn rewards based on a percentage of my purchases and occasionally I would receive in-store coupons and I even earned a few freebies that printed out on my receipts!
I checked my mail earlier today and had an envelope from the Sears Holdings Corporation. I honestly almost didn't open it. I thought that it was another one of those credit card offers that always seem to pop up each week in the mail. (Kmart Corporate...if you are reading this I would suggest changing the return address on the envelope to read "Kmart Rewards")
I am so glad that I did open it! It turns out that the purchases that I made between July 1st, 2009 and November 7, 2009 earned me a $12 Kmart gift card.
Hey...it's not a ton of money but I look at it this way...I would have spent the money that I spent on my previous shopping trips anyways...so why not earn something extra!
The gift card is good until the end of February (unlike the gift cards that you purchase that have no expiration dates).

I signed up a few weeks ago. I didn't even know they had a rewards program until the cashier mentioned it. I received a $10 off my next $50 purchase catalina. That was pretty exciting!!
got mine yesterday and it was $11. I went today and used it for stocking stuffers and now I am done w/ christmas
I have been on the Rewards Program for a while. Some areas started before others. When I first moved down to central GA back in September the stores down here had no clue what it was. They just implemented the program about 3 weeks ago. I have received one of the $10 off $50 catalinas before too! I love them!
