Clearance Notice: Target, Kmart, Michaels, Walmart!

Reagan wrote in to let us know that Target is now at 90% off on their Christmas items. The pickings are slim but you never know what you may find! I checked my store and our toys are still at 30% off but I will keep an eye out to try to let you know when they go to 50% off!

She also wrote in to tell us that Michael's is down to 70% off and that they still had some pretty good items left!

I went into Kmart yesterday and they were at 75% off. There was a ton of paper, boxes, tissue papers and everything else in between! Their food items are still at 50% off!

Kmart is also still running their "Take an additional 20% off of ALL clearance toys!" There have been new mark-downs in my store so you may want to go check it out!

Walmart is at 75% off with slim pickings here!

Kmart Rewards Program really works! See the proof!

I signed up for the Kmart Rewards Program back in July of 09'. Each time that I shopped at Kmart I scanned my card (You can see various reasons why you want to shop at Kmart here and here!) knowing at some point I would receive a reward in the mail.

I knew that I would earn rewards based on a percentage of my purchases and occasionally I would receive in-store coupons and I even earned a few freebies that printed out on my receipts!

I checked my mail earlier today and had an envelope from the Sears Holdings Corporation. I honestly almost didn't open it. I thought that it was another one of those credit card offers that always seem to pop up each week in the mail. (Kmart Corporate...if you are reading this I would suggest changing the return address on the envelope to read "Kmart Rewards")

I am so glad that I did open it! It turns out that the purchases that I made between July 1st, 2009 and November 7, 2009 earned me a $12 Kmart gift card.

Hey...it's not a ton of money but I look at it this way...I would have spent the money that I spent on my previous shopping trips anyways...so why not earn something extra!

The gift card is good until the end of February (unlike the gift cards that you purchase that have no expiration dates).

If you haven't signed up for Kmart Rewards Program you can go here to do so!

If you would like to get a couple of cheap toys this week you can see my coupon matchups here!

I just thought that I would share yet another way to earn FREE money!

This might go great with Halloween Clearance items or clearance toys...your choice of course! They also have an additional percentage off of their clearance home items (towels, decor etc)! Kmart: Clearance: Pools and Summer Toys

Click on picture to see a larger image!

I went into Kmart Friday and found some really great prices on their summer items!

Here is what I bought...

3 pks of various water guns: $.87 each each
Party Pool w/ Seat: $5.62
3 Window Pools (multi-color w/ see through windows in the sides): $4.37 each
4 snap up pools (the ones with the hard sides: smallest boxes): $1.87 each
4 2pks of water guns @ $.18 each
1 small 3 ring pool @ $1.62
1 jump rope @ $.24

My total for all of this was ONLY $34.21. Had the items not been on sale I would have paid $248.84 in regular retail!

Kmart is an awesome resource for their clearance items. You can see what I have been able to buy in the past here where I purchased $1018.82 worth of toys for only $122 OOP!

Tip: At Kmart...be a scanner! When you see the yellow or red and white clearance stickers never assume that this is the price! ALWAYS SCAN EVERYTHING! Some of the items will ring up the advertised price but most of the time the items are cheaper!

Be sure to stop by and take a look at my latest shopping trips from Kroger, Food Lion, & Food Depot here! How about checking out my Publix shopping trip from last week here where I bought over $280 worth of groceries for only $25! Interested in more shopping trips? You can check them all out here!

If you find any great Kmart deals this week be sure to leave a comment and let us know what you were able to find!

Kmart Christmas Reward Program: Earn money while saving!

Kmart has an interesting promotion going on right now! If you go here to sign up for a Christmas Rewards Card (similar to a gift card) you can earn 3% back on the amount that you save!

Example: Purchase a Card here for a minimum of $5, activate your card before October 31st, go in and add funds to your Reward Card up through November the 14th, and receive an additional 3% by November 25th (added to your card at that time).

They have a neat spreadsheet that allows you to see what you can add to the card each week for specific budget amounts.

If you buy a card and have $100 on it for your Christmas budget you will earn a Reward of $3 (3%). It may not sound like much but every penny counts. If you plan to do Christmas shopping at Kmart (or any other kind of shopping) why not get paid to do it right!

Go here for the details! Be sure to read the FAQ area so you will understand how everything works!

Kmart Clearance Update!

I went into Kmart Friday night and saw a few things that I would like to mention to everyone!

First...if you live in Georgia (can't confirm other states) Saturday is the last "tax-free" day!

Second...Kmart is running an additional 40% off of all clearance apparel. This includes underwear, socks, purses, hats, scarves, and bags.

Third...Kmart is doing something new! I went to the toy aisles and saw that they have implemented a "Dot" system. The only other place I have seen this is a Beall's Outlet!

• Fluorescent Pink Dot: Additional 10% off of clearance price
• Blue Dot: Additional 20% off of clearance price
• Fuchsia Pink (dark pink): Additional 30% off of clearance price

Although this doesn't compete to the additional 50% off that I and many of you were able to take advantage of a couple of weeks ago but it can still mean a great bargain.

Not all clearance items get marked down further on a weekly basis BUT some of them do! The corporate computer system sends the mark down schedule on Monday's so you can be sure to know by Tuesday if a particular item you have your eye on has been marked down further!

Be sure to leave a comment if you do or dot not see the "Dot System" in your store and if so are they the same colors as mine and the same percentages?

If we all pull together to help out...we can share the great finds with one another!

Be sure to leave the city and state in your comment to let others know!

Kmart Coupon In Weekly Ad

After tons of great clearance toy deals from Kmart a couple of weeks ago...it looks like another grim week!

I didn't see anything worth mentioning in the ad as far as sale items went BUT I did want to mention that there is a coupon on the back of the ad for $5 off of your purchase of $50 worth of Food/Consumables/drugstore/ OR school supply items.

If your Publix OR Kroger accepts Kmart as a competitor...this is a coupon you will want to be sure to cut out!

I told a story...Elmer's 4oz or 2pk Glue is on sale for 5/$1.

I haven't seen anyone put these on sale yet so .20 each is not bad! If you know someone that has them cheaper let us know!

They also have the BIC 10ct pens on sale for .99 each. If you were able to snag the $1/1 coupon...you can get them free (the coupon is no longer available)!

If anyone sees anything good to mention this week for Kmart please be sure to let us know!
